Daniel Shaw, new Marketing Director at Avocet

Established hardware and security supplier, Avocet, have announced the appointment of their new Marketing Director, Daniel Shaw, as the business looks to continue its ambitious growth plans over the next 12 months.

Based in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, Avocet have been supplying the market since 1978 with high security locks, door and window hardware and general fixings.

Daniel comes to the business having over 25 years of marketing experience with the last 15 having worked for well-known fabricator, Listers Central Limited in Stoke on Trent.

“I’m very excited by this new opportunity and the vision that Avocet have presented me is one I’m delighted to help them achieve,” commented Daniel. “I have a great team in place who have done sterling work already, so it’s simply a case of expanding on that and taking the company to the next level.”

Avocet have clearly made a statement with this latest addition and CEO, Rythm Jain Saigal had this to say. “We’re delighted to welcome Daniel to our team and we’re looking forward to a fresh set of eyes on our marketing strategy moving forward. Everyone knows Avocet for our award wining ABS lock, but with our huge hardware range as well as our fixings and fastenings and of course other security products, there’s so much more to the Avocet story that we want to make our customers aware of.”

Under the stewardship of their CEO, Avocet has seen their ABS Anti Snap cylinder become a byword for total security and an instantly recognisable brand. It’s evident that with marketing being heavily invested in, Avocet have a wealth of other quality products that they want to achieve the same level of success and recognition with.

“When for instance I saw our latest catalogue which, we’ll be releasing very soon by the way, I was blown away by the sheer depth of product ranges and it’s my aim to bring this to the wider attention. Avocet are renowned for customer service and that’s something we intend to build on and with an ever-growing product range, you’ll soon be associating Avocet with more than just ABS,” remarked Daniel. 

It’s exciting times at Avocet as along with a new Marketing Director, they are planning on major investment into their customer experience to make Avocet the easiest company to deal with and their new motto is a clear indication of the direction the company is moving towards.
