Despite all the economic uncertainty, the aluminium sector is buoyant. In the third quarter of 2018 the State of the Market Survey conducted by the Council for Aluminium in Building revealed that 41% of members saw a 5% sales rise on the second quarter and 24% saw a rise of more than 5%. In the private housing, infrastructure and private housing repair, maintenance and improvement sector, 12% of members reported sales volumes increases of up to 5% and 41% reported rises of more than 5% on the previous year.
These are undoubtedly impressive numbers and it’s hardly surprising that more and more fabricators and installers are looking to aluminium as an interesting sector to be part of.
