‘First end-to-end Corgi Fenestration supply chain’ announced by Liniar and Whiteline

This is a story of ‘firsts’. Back in May 2017, Liniar became the first system house to achieve Corgi Fenestration registration. Some months later, Liniar customer Whiteline Manufacturing, the largest independent super fabricator of PVC-U windows and doors in the South East, became the first fabricator to get registered. Now, to complete the supply chain, one of Whiteline’s installers – Heathfield Windows – has also come on board. This is the first end-to-end CorgiI Fenestration registered supply chain. “Our vision was about creating a quality mark for the complete glazing sector supply chain, from top to bottom,” commented Chris Mayne, Corgi Fenestration CEO. “Individual fabricators and installers are registering solely – and they will experience significant business benefits from doing so. But there are enhanced benefits, both for companies and consumers, of a fully registered supply chain such as the Liniar-Whiteline-Heathfield one. This will provide product traceability for homeowners, meaning the product installed is the same product tested and approved. It will also mean quality production and installation, a more qualified workforce and, ultimately, more reassurance for homeowners.”

With Liniar it wasn’t just the system house that registered – Liniar’s Approved Fabricator Scheme also achieved Corgi Fenestration status – meaning its fabricators can gain registration through a reduced audit process. Liniar CEO Roger Hartshorn said: “We were delighted that Liniar was the first PVC-U system house to join the Corgi Fenestration scheme. Corgi is a name that’s synonymous with trust and quality, values that we also hold dear at Liniar.” Established in 1984 and based in Eastbourne, Whiteline Manufacturing supplies and supports its customers throughout London, the South East and beyond. Whiteline was one of the first companies to join the Liniar Approved Fabricator scheme when it was launched, proving excellence in manufacturing to Liniar’s high standards. Whiteline MD, Steve Milham, believes that the Corgi Fenestration mark will prove invaluable to his fabricator business and to his installer network because of the levels of consumer recognition for the brand. “I believe that the Corgi Fenestration brand is well known to homeowners. It provides a quick, simple statement detailing the benefits of membership and the assurances it brings, rather than the complicated explanation currently used to justify the installation process,” Steve commented. “With confidence comes trust and with trust comes the ability to advise and sell what’s right for the client in their own personal situation.”

So, it’s no surprise then that’s Steve’s own installation business – Heathfield Windows, based in east Sussex and founded in 1982 – was keen to register with Corgi Fenestration and deliver those benefits direct to consumers. “So much of this industry is rife with those taking short cuts,” continued Steve. “With no real policing of the industry going on, I can only see things getting worse. Corgi Fenestration gives me and my company the chance to shout about who we are, what we do and why we do it. It’s a badge we will wear with pride. Steve would also recommend any other quality-focused installers to get on board. “With so many options available to us throughout the industry today, we’re all struggling to keep up and understand precisely what’s actually required of us. Steve also believes that Corgi Fenestration offers a better proposition than existing glazing CPSs. “It’s simple and uncomplicated and you are judged on your merits as a company.
