Total Glass windows improve security for Conservation Area homes

T Glass - Denman Drive 1Liverpool-based social housing fenestration specialist Total Glass supplied PVC-U vertical sliding and casement windows for a property in one of the city’s key Conservation Areas.

The white sliding box sash windows were installed on the front elevation of the substantial semi-detached dwelling in Denman Drive, Tuebrook, which has been converted into five flats.

A-rated PVC-U casement windows were fitted at the rear of the building. The new windows replace old timber single-glazed ones, greatly improving security and thermal efficiency for residents. The property, close to Newsham Park, is owned by the Riverside Group.

Total Glass and the project design team worked with Liverpool City Council’s Principal Conservation Officer to satisfy specific planning requirements, including providing sample windows for prior approval.
