£15k COVID-19 security investment means it’s business as usual for Victorian Sliders

Victorian Sliders, the leading manufacturer of PVC-U sliding sash windows, have announced that  they are operating as normal during the second national lockdown, and continuing to deliver sash windows across the UK.

The company has invested over £15k in a high-tech COVID-19 prevention system, which passed with flying colours after a recent safety check by the local authority. The system includes heat sensor cameras, facial recognition cameras, and a QR scanner questionnaire.

According to Group Managing Director Andy Jones, the company will continue to put safety at the very heart of their operations.

“Companies that sit within the construction and manufacturing industries have been given the green light by the Government to trade as normal – as long as it’s in a COVID secure manner – so for us it’s very much ‘business as usual.’

“Ultimately, the safety of our staff, customers, suppliers and partners is our number one priority, and we have invested heavily in this area to ensure we protect everyone whilst continuing to offer the same level of quality and service that our customers have come to expect.”

For anyone that visits the Victorian Sliders HQ, the COVID secure measures are easy to spot. The firm has set up a large marquee outside the factory where all employees and visitors must undergo several checks before they are allowed into the main building. This includes an automated temperature check, facial recognition for all employees, and a comprehensive Covid-19 questionnaire for everyone. Anyone who fails to meet the required criteria are instructed not to come into work and to seek assistance from the company’s HR department. The same temperature check is also repeated at the end of the day.

Andy Jones concludes: “This latest lockdown presents us with a new challenge, but here at Victorian Sliders, we are doing everything in our power to meet the strong market demand and support our customers with their sash window projects. We wish all our customers and the wider industry the very best during this time and hope everyone stays safe.”
