The Ultra Vent is available in 3 sizes and comprises of a controllable internal ventilator and a matching external canopy grille providing ventilation combined with weather protection and security. Ultra Vent provides equivalent areas of 2500mm2, 4000mm2 and 5000mm2 respectively and can be used to meet background ventilation requirements of Building Regulations throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland.
The slim profile ventilators give an unobtrusive and aesthetic appearance. They are suitable for PVCU, aluminium and timber windows and are suitable for a range of slot heights from 13mm to 17mm. The slim line internal vent with two stage opening directs incoming fresh air upwards to avoid draughts and discomfort.
Passivent’s new range of Ultra Vents are available in standard colour Bright White RAL 9016 and alternative colours available upon request.
Beverly Hobbs, Product Manager of Passivent says: “Avoidance of condensation that often manifests itself on windows can be achieved by the use of background ventilation using Tricklevents. As well as the removal of moisture it is necessary to replace this with an input of fresh air which in turn can promote air movement to ensure air is circulated around a building. Passivent’s range of Ultra Vents are the perfect solution to allow fresh air into a building in a controlled manner. The ventilators not only exceed the worst case requirements of BS 6375-1:2009 for resistance to water penetration but meet standards laid out in BS EN 13141-1 2004 Ventilation for Buildings – performance testing of components /products for residential ventilation.”
