Brookeswood Joinery’s Bradley Brookes takes home BWF’s Rising Star Award

Bradley Brookes, Sales Director at timber windows, doors and stairs manufacturer Brookeswood Joinery Ltd, has picked up the Rising Star Award at the national British Woodworking Federation (BWF) Awards.

The Rising Star Award, sponsored by Dixon International Group, recognises an individual whose dedication and hard work has made a real difference either to the organisation in which they work, or to the wider woodworking and joinery community. The BWF Awards celebrate the best of the best in UK woodworking, recognising technical innovation, design, process efficiencies, health & safety and the rising stars of the industry.

Bradley has been recognised by his company for his enthusiasm and dedication to the continued growth of the business. The BWF Awards judges commended Bradley on “using a combination of passion, skill and enthusiasm to demonstrate his ability to transform ways of working and implement process changes that lead to continued improvement throughout the business.”

Helen Hewitt, Chief Executive of the BWF said: “This is the second year that we’ve had the opportunity to recognise a rising star in our industry with this award. It’s clear that Bradley has shown exceptional hard work and dedication to help grow the business during a challenging time. My congratulations go to Bradley for being this year’s Rising Star.”

She added: “The BWF Awards celebrate the outstanding talent and skills in the woodworking and joinery sector, and I want to congratulate all our winners who continue to push the boundaries in our sector. Every year I’m amazed at the hard work, innovation and incredible skill that is demonstrated in our sector and it gives me so much pride at what is achieved. The Awards were a fantastic opportunity to bring the industry together once again and celebrate the success and exciting achievements of all of our finalists.”

Bradley Brookes said: “I’m honoured to have been chosen as the winner of this award by the BWF and would like to thank both them and the team at Brookeswood Joinery Ltd for nominating me. I’m very passionate about the work we do and look forward to building further on this achievement.”

The prize was presented at a celebratory awards evening held at the Kimpton Fitzroy London Hotel. A full list of the winners at this year’s BWF Awards can be found at: https://www.bwf.org.uk/awards-2021/
