Business growth prompts recruitment drive for glazed extension manufacturer, David Salisbury

Following its most successful period for new orders in the company’s history, David Salisbury is looking to expand its workforce, hiring for a number of positions across the residential and commercial sides of its business.

The hardwood conservatories, garden rooms and orangeries specialist has recently welcomed a new customer account manager, with immediate plans to hire a second to join its growing customer service team.

The company is also looking for a 3D CAD technician to join the team, using graphic editing software to produce sales concept presentations for customers as well as technical drawings for production. Investing in the quality of conceptual drawings has always been a guiding principle of the business and continues to be a priority moving forwards.

Other roles being advertised include a Class 2 Driver, a service technician, and a bench joiner. David Salisbury is also searching for additional sales and design consultants for its joinery.

The recruitment drive comes following a 115% year-on-year growth in sales over the past 6 months, , as well as a record order book. Alongside receiving its largest ever individual order this year, David Salisbury also recently completed its biggest commercial project to date, the manufacture and installation of a new orangery for G7 Summit venue, Carbis Bay Hotel & Estate.

Karen Bell, Creative Director at David Salisbury, said: “We’re thrilled to be in a position to expand our team. It’s been an extremely busy year for the company and we’re keen to build on this growth with new talent across a range of areas and experience levels.

“It’s an exciting time to join the business, at the busiest period in our 30-year history, and one with significant investment being made in machinery and equipment. We’re proud to have the most technically advanced joinery workshop in the UK, and coupled with our craft roots, this gives us a perfect blend of high-tech control with bespoke flexibility.”
