Celebrations as doors officially open on Bowater Doors extensive new showroom

Bowater Doors, the specialist composite door manufacturer and a company of The VEKA UK Group, has celebrated the launch of a new, flagship showroom at its Midlands base in Minworth.

Attended by building and glazing industry publications, staff, company directors and customers, a ribbon-cutting, overseen by The VEKA UK Group MD, Dave Jones officially opened the showroom.

Welcoming all those in attendance, especially those who were new to Bowater’s Minworth home, Dave said: “It’s a pleasure to present to you the fantastic range of products produced here at Bowater Doors, including the striking new range of DUO Contemporary composite doors that many of you will be seeing for the first time. I’m particularly proud to introduce them alongside Bowater’s team of talented staff who make each door, to measure, here on the premises. I’m sure you’ll agree that the several months’ hard work, designing and building this striking new showroom has been time well spent and you will join me in exploring the beautiful products on display.”

Flanked by Bowater Doors’ Chief Operating Officer, Anita van Vuuren and Head of Sales, Alan Hague, the ribbon-cutting met with cheers and applause from the assembled audience. Attendees then enjoyed refreshments as they browsed the ten full, walk-through composite door units on display, showcasing a diverse range that includes specialist Fire Doors and DUO Guard Flood Defence Doors. The most was made of the space available with different colour and hardware options featured on either side of the doors on display.

Anita commented: “Having joined Bowater Doors last May, the showroom project has been under development for much of my tenure. It’s great to see it come to fruition, particularly for our Sales team who now have an exciting new string to their bow.”

Alan added: “Being able to display our doors realistically and demonstrate how they might look in a home installation really allows the products to speak for themselves. We had a small, ‘feature’ showroom before this, but by expanding into areas of previously redundant office space, we can now tell the complete Bowater Doors story.

Sales Support Coordinator, Emma McDonald continued: “Customers, like those here today, can experience our full range of products in situ, including unique offerings like our new DUO Contemporary suite of composite doors. We can already see how customers are inspired by the displays and there’s clear potential for that to be passed on to homeowners, boosting awareness of the Bowater Doors brand.”

Visitors to further open days throughout the showroom’s inaugural week will be treated to tours of Bowater Doors’ adjacent factory where they can see, first hand, the combination of machine-cut precision and human attention to detail that has made the company one of the UK’s leading composite door manufacturers.
