Originally established in Mayland, Essex, and employing only a couple of fabricators, it was a drive for delivering a cost-effective, high-quality product that determined the direction of the business. In April 2022 David and Eddie sold the business to the Edwin Lowe Group, a diverse investment company looking to add a new dimension to their portfolio. Fast forward to 2024 and Design Window & Door Systems now operate from a 30,000 sq. ft. facility near Chelmsford, Essex with over 60 employees. The company supply PVC-U windows, doors and conservatories to installers all over the South of England and beyond.
Steve Darkins Managing Director, Design Window and Door Systems, said: “Renewing our membership is never in question, it’s an invaluable tool that is a requirement by both our customers and the homeowners.”
Lyn Poole, Secured by Design, said: “I am delighted that Design Windows and Door Systems have renewed their SBD membership. They have a range of door sets and windows which have achieved Police Preferred Specification and I look forward to our continued work together over the coming years.”
