Hardware distributor Carl F Groupco has supported the annual Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day, which took place earlier in December. An impressive £480 was raised, considerably beating the target set of £150.
The initiative to support the charity was taken by Purchasing Assistant Bobbie-Leigh McKillop, who also took the lead for many of the company’s previous fund raisers. Explaining why she felt it was important to continue to support the charity, Bobbie-Leigh said: “In light of additional difficulties faced by many children during the pandemic, it felt particularly important to continue to support the charity and spread some Christmas cheer.”
A Just Giving page was created to facilitate Covid-safe donations and for every £2 raised the company added £4 which contributed to the impressive total.
Carl F Groupco regularly supports charity initiatives, previously taking part in national campaigns for Wear it Pink for Breast Cancer and Jeans for Genes Day. Additionally, throughout the year, the company supports smaller local charities.
The Just Giving page will remain open, if anyone would like to donate: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/cjd200019232?utm_source=Sharethis&utm_medium=fundraising&utm_content=cjd200019232&utm_campaign=pfp-email&utm_term=7b01c99284244047b2a1f6b863331f7d
