Feature Architectural Fabrications, the specialist glazing company in London and the South East, have recently invested in a new FOM Adir C CNC machining centre, together with a Comall Mach Kibi 550 double mitre saw from David & Roger Franklin. Les Humphrey, Director at Feature Architectural Fabrications said: “The combination of these two new machines has transformed our production processes and enabled us to manufacture a very diverse profile and product mix. The Comall Mach Kibi 550 saw works to suit our needs rather than us having to change what we do to meet the machine’s requirements and allows us to manually override or revert to manual operation when required. The Adir C ticked all the boxes on what we needed from a CNC machining centre – we are able to use it as a CNC copy router as well as having the ability to prep to label bar codes and work a fully automated operation. The 3-axis controlled unit is particularly user friendly, highly affordable and has dramatically increased our production speed and quality, enabling us to remain versatile and competitive.
“The customer support and product advice from David & Roger Franklin was superb, honest and unbiased. At no point did we feel under any pressure to make decisions – Roger was incredibly patient and helped us to overcome our reservations on factory space and versatility. It made more sense to purchase an additional Adir C CNC machine to complement our existing Comall Matrix CNE 30 routing centre rather than replacing what we already have, giving us maximum flexibility and capacity to do almost anything. We are delighted with the results so far.”
Roger Franklin, Company Director commented: “It has been a real pleasure working with Les and the guys at Feature Architectural Fabrications. We are thrilled with the results and the obvious enthusiasm that Feature have embraced this new machinery with and wish them every future success. As a company we are always committed to providing our customers with production and engineering solutions at the highest level.”
