GRP composite bi-fold doors from Distinction

Utilising the Fold N Slide hardware range, the new One Lite bi-fold door adds even more choice and value to the Distinction Doors’ portfolio of door related products

Distinction Doors, the UK’s leading supplier of GRP composite doors, has just announced a partnership with The Folding Sliding Door Company, who utilise the Fold N Slide hardware range, to offer fabricators and installers a unique GRP composite bi-fold door package. Distinction Doors’ Marketing Manager Chantel Roach says: “The combination of the quality and innovation of our One Lite bi-fold door plus the quality of the overall package is very exciting and we are delighted to be launching it onto the market.”

As Chantel says, Distinction’s One Lite GRP composite bi-fold door offers outstanding quality and innovation. This is particularly evident in the door’s track. It uses an inline, out of sight system with concealed running gear. This makes it water-resistant as well as incredibly resistant to attack – the door meets BS 6375 standards and is PAS24 proven. What’s more, the door’s tracking uses stainless steel with sealed bearings for maintenance-free, trouble-free use, eliminating the operational quirks often associated with lesser bi-fold doors. One Lite is available in white and a variety of wood stain options with future plans to offer buff/buff or buff/white for customers choosing to finish and manufacture the doors themselves.

The bi-fold door sets will be manufactured by Distinction’s project partner The Folding Sliding Door Company and will be delivered in kit form (pre-prepped and ready-made) direct to the customer for easy assembly/installation on-site. Chantel says: “We know from our longstanding relationship with The Folding Sliding Door Company that the team has the same commitment to quality as we do and we’re delighted that they will be responsible for manufacturing and supplying this product offering.” The addition of GRP composite bi-fold doors to the Distinction Doors’ range is a positive move in response to the growing market and will allow homeowners to benefit from the low maintenance, trouble-free performance and elegant aesthetics that GRP composite doors can offer and further complement Distinction’s standard GRP door range.
