Hurst reinvents the PVC-U panel door with seven new contemporary styles

Hurst has continued its reinvention of the panel door with the launch of seven new contemporary styles, challenging outdated perceptions of PVC-U doors.

Traditionally associated with more decorative and traditional designs, PVC-U doors have now been elevated to stand alongside composite and aluminium alternatives, thanks to Hurst’s latest innovations.

The seven new panel styles – Amalfi Four, Portofino Three, Capri One, Sorrento Three, Como One, Clarence Two, and Provence Six – are designed to offer homeowners and developers more choice than ever before. These designs demonstrate that PVC-U doors can provide sleek, modern aesthetics without sacrificing durability or performance.

One of the key innovations driving this launch is Hurst’s groundbreaking Securicore™ option.

Securicore™ represents a significant development in the industry, offering enhanced security that meets PAS24 standards as part of a complete door set. Developed over two years through an exhaustive R&D programme, Securicore™ employs a specially formulated PVC-U compound and glazing system.

Exclusively available through Hurst, it not only surpasses PAS24 standards but also ensures compliance with new build requirements and future-proofs PVC-U panel doors against potential updates to industry standards, such as Document Q.

“Our goal was to challenge the idea that PVC-U doors belong in the past,” said Sales Director Mark Atkinson. “For too long, PVC-U doors have been associated with outdated, traditional designs. Our latest range of contemporary panels proves that PVC-U doors can be just as stylish and desirable as composite or aluminium doors, while offering industry-leading security through our Securicore™ option.”

The introduction of these seven new designs builds on the success of the Monaco One panel launched last year, which demonstrated that there is real appetite for contemporary PVC-U panel designs.

By offering customers more choice in design as well as the option to upgrade to enhanced security through Securicore™, Hurst is redefining the potential of PVC-U panel doors.

In addition to panel design innovations, Hurst is also expanding its range of decorative glass options, drawing inspiration from the popularity of its composite door range. These new glass styles complement the contemporary aesthetic of the panels and allow for further customisation to suit individual preferences.

Mark added: “It’s all about providing more choice. More choice on panel design, more choice on glass, and ultimately the ability to supply a PAS24 accredited panel door. With the introduction of Securicore™, this latest range represents a genuine transformation in the market – offering contemporary designs, enhanced security, and expanding the reach and appeal of PVC-U panels.”
