HWL expands PVC offer with new Kömmerling Timberweld flush sash

HWL Windows has expanded its heritage and flush PVC product portfolio with the addition of the recently launched 70mm flush window from Kömmerling. The Leeds-based company, which specialises in the manufacture and supply of heritage and flush products, is the first fabricator to offer Kömmerling’s new flush sash with the patented Timberweld finish.

“Aesthetically, it delivers all the attention to detail you would expect from a premium German brand and that is enhanced further with our capacity to offer it with a Timberweld 90-degree joint,” said Graham Howatson, Director, HWL Windows. “It looks outstanding, but it also performs very well. It’s built around a new, six-chambered profile which helps it to achieve U values of 1.2 (W/m2K),” he continued. “That’s good news for our customers as it means they can offer a desirable, high-value product without having to worry if it complies to the new Part L regulations.”

The new Kömmerling flush sash is available from HWL with 21 foiling options from stock, in addition to a ‘fast track’ service on other finishes, and with glazing options from 28-40mm.

Its introduction into HWL’s existing offer complements the fabricator’s line-up of ultra-premium Residence products, including its non-glass bonded Timberweld R9, as well as its Sheerline Prestige aluminium offer.
“We specialise in heritage and flush windows and doors, and we know that to stand out in this sector takes a level of attention to detail over and above what you would expect from a typical high-volume manufacture,” continued Graham.

“That’s reflected in the huge amount of R&D that has gone into perfecting our non-glass bonded Timberweld R9 – as well as our recently launched Residence Timberweld door – and that sector experience will also be evident in the way we will be producing the latest addition to our product line-up.”
