KAT UK strengthens management team

KAT has realised two senior appointments, to significantly strengthen the company management team and help deliver a comprehensive product development plan.

Chris Powell (pictured right), previously Sales Director at Epwin Group Window Systems, has joined as Commercial Director.  Chris will be responsible for Sales, Marketing and Commercial activity.  Chris comments; ‘KAT is a unique and exceptionally well respected brand and now manufactures specialist glazing products in all three major materials; Aluminium, Timber and PVC-U.  I am delighted to be joining at such an exciting time and to play my part in launching so many exciting new products.’

Paul Balfe has joined as Technical Director and his role is to identify new specialist glazing applications and ensure the timely launch of new products. Paul has a wealth of technical experience as almost 30 years have passed since he fabricated his first window.  Paul spent 15 years at Spectus Systems, first in technical support, then in Commercial Services and later, Export. Paul was previously at KAT in 2003, then left to establish Merlin Doors.  Paul says ‘KAT UK is a tremendously vibrant company with well-motivated individuals and it was an easy decision to return. We have a number of significant product launches planned’.

KAT has manufacturing facilities in Macclesfield, Hazel Grove and Newhaven and 5 showrooms nationwide.
