Liversidge Windows gets top marks at Altrincham Grammar

REHAU fabricator Liversidge Windows has further strengthened its growing reputation in the education sector with an impressive installation at Altrincham Grammar School for Boys.

The Oldham based company has fabricated and installed more than 60 windows in the REHAU TOTAL70C system at the 100 year old school, to replace a mix of timber and early PVC windows which were in place previously.

The installation was unusual because many of the windows had triangular tops which had to be mechanically jointed as they were too intricate to be welded.  They were also fabricated with transoms and mullions housing up to 28 individual sealed glazing units within each frame to give them a more authentic appearance than could be achieved with Astragal bars.

The team at Liversidge impressed the Estates Department at the large all boys grammar school by supplying a sample window for review complete with restrictor hinges, and by inviting the team to view for themselves the fabrication set up at their Oldham factory.

Stuart Peet, Estates Officer, said:  “Liversidge Windows did a really good job and impressed us with their expertise in both fabrication and installation.  They were recommended to us by a nearby school and, in turn, we would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.”

Liversidge’s other recent successes in the schools sector include installations at: Crompton House School in Oldham and at Livingstone Primary and St Georges C of E Primary in Mossley, Ashton on Mersey school in Sale and Stalyhill Primary in Staylhill.

Liversidge is a REHAU Authorised Partner providing a complete range of frames in the REHAU TOTAL70C system to trade, retail and commercial customers.  The company prides itself on the quality of its workmanship and has a very well equipped factory, complete with in house production of sealed units.
