“We supply a lot of Lacobel T and Matelac T into commercial projects,” Glass Express Midlands’ Sales Director Fraser Caithness said. “We cut polish and toughen these ranges to go into internal areas such as entrances, hallways and atriums, as well as external applications such as spandrel panels.
“Since we are striving to improve the level of professionalism in the glass industry – we have Kitemarks for toughening and insulated glass units, and we have our processes inspected twice a year – achieving this accreditation from AGC is a valuable feather in our cap. It communicates to our customers that not only do we source the very best products on the market, but we also process to a very high standard.”
Fraser said that the accreditation also means AGC lists Glass Express Midlands as a Certified Glass Supplier on its website, which also gives customers confidence they are choosing the best suppliers.
“If commercial specification managers get their supply wrong, it could be a huge drain on time and money,” he said. “Which is why choosing your suppliers carefully is key, and why third-party accreditation plays an important role in the supply of high value products.”
Matelac T (matt finish) and Lacobel T (glossy finish) are painted glass ranges that can be cut and heat-treated directly by the processor, streamlining the production process and shortening delivery times.
Highly resistant to scratches and thermal shocks, Matelac T and Lacobel T are suitable for both outdoor and indoor applications.
