Mark Powell, Sales Director of Direct Trade

One of the UK’s largest trade fabricators, Doncaster based Direct Trade, has made a number of senior appointments including promoting Mark Powell from national sales manager to sales director and promoting Danny Colton from operations director to general manager.

Working alongside the area sales managers, Mark will oversee the entire nationwide sales operation and drive the business forward during this period of growth for the company. Danny Colton will take responsibility for all other aspects of the business.

Direct Trade’s sales team meanwhile has been bolstered by Paul Glossop and Ray Vickers, who join as area sales manager for the Midlands and area sales manager for the South West respectively. The company has also strengthened its product development and admin departments with a number of key appointments.

Managing director Steve Green comments: “Direct Trade have recently launched a number of new products and, in order to effectively integrate them into the marketplace, we recognised it was important to bring in additional resources. The new staff will help us improve and, ultimately, deliver the high level of service our customers have come to expect, even as we grow.”

Direct Trade fabricates Veka Halo’s System 10 and Rustique window systems and operates from a 60,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Doncaster. They also offer dual and single rebate composite doors and complete conservatory packages which are available with Global or Ultraframe roofs. Direct Trade are an approved Kolorbond applicator, meaning they can offer frames in any RAL colour, and can also offer the traditional looking Renaissance window that incorporates a run-through sash horn and cottage bars.
