New appointments strengthen Sheerline technical support team

Garnalex has continued to strengthen the Sheerline team with the appointment of two Area Technical Managers, Dave Brown and James Barker. Working closely with the Technical Sales Team, Dave and James will provide fabricators with specific technical assistance and advice on setting up as Sheerline fabricators.

Dave Brown joins as Southern Technical Manager, bringing extensive technical knowledge gained in various roles at AluK and Schüco. Northern Technical Manager James Barker’s previous work at Avantek gives him an in-depth understanding of tooling, machinery and setting up new fabricators.

Commenting on the two appointments, Garnalex CEO Roger Hartshorn explains: “We’ve designed many innovations in to our Sheerline systems, making them easier and faster to fabricate, and less wasteful of materials than other run-of-the-mill systems. So, we’ve invested in experienced hands-on technical managers to work closely with the technical sales team to provide market-leading technical support for our customers. Both Dave and James have a wealth of knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm, and we’re delighted to welcome them to the team.

“While social distancing and safety measures are still in place, much of this training and support can be carried out remotely, at a time and place to suit the customer, thanks to our comprehensive suite of videos (www.sheerlinevideo.com) and technical guides. Nevertheless, the technical and sales teams are also available for site visits and our custom-built training centre is ready to welcome customers when circumstances allow.”

James Barker says: “Garnalex is turning aluminium on its head and I knew I wanted to be involved. As part of the technical team we’re working closely with Technical Sales Managers Tony Basile and Paul Greenaway to set up new Sheerline customers, carry out tooling audits, and provide technical assistance and customer support.”

Dave Brown adds: “I’ve no doubt Sheerline will be a success. For years, the aluminium sector has churned out the same products with minor changes, but not Sheerline! We’ve launched with a fresh, innovative approach and unique benefits straight away. Sheerline is the future of aluminium.”
