New departments created as GGF Group expands

Due to significant expansion and long term business development plans, the GGF Group is pleased to announce the formation of two new departments in the areas of marketing and external affairs. The new departments will focus on the two main parts of the GGF Group – The Glass and Glazing Federation and its group of commercial companies including; FENSA; the largest competent person scheme in the industry; BFRC (British Fenestration Rating Council), GGFi; the industry’s leading insurance broker, RISA; the inspections and auditing service and Borough IT which delivers digital and software solutions for the entire GGF Group and clients across a number of different markets.

On the re-organisation, Kevin Buckley, GGF Group Chief Executive commented, “In 2018, we conducted the first phase of the GGF Group’s strategy plans by establishing the organisation’s growth plans, appointing a new senior management team and researching our customer base and the industry extensively. We are pleased to move positively into phase two with greater and more focused resources to carry out our considerable plans for the next three to five years.”

The new departments are, the GGF External Affairs Department headed up by James Lee who moves from Group Marketing Director to GGF Director of External Affairs, and the GGF Commercial Group Sales and Marketing Department overseen by Anda Gregory, MD of GGF Commercial.

On the change Anda Gregory commented, “The GGF commercial team has some very exciting plans over the next few years with innovative and unprecedented campaigns. Our aim will be to help companies who are part of the GGF’s subsidiaries grow their businesses. We will be unveiling more details on our plans and recruitment for the commercial marketing department in the coming weeks and months.”

The GGF External Affairs Department will focus on the GGF’s PR, events, market research and increasing the GGF’s footprint in the political arena. The Commercial Group Sales and Marketing will concentrate on delivering sales and marketing campaigns, product launches and brand development to grow the GGF’s commercial subsidiaries.

James Lee, Director of External Affairs said, “As the GGF Group is expanding, this is a very positive approach for the GGF and its commercial subsidiaries. I am looking forward to working more on the political side of the Federation and increasing our influence with key Government departments. In addition, we will be increasing our marketing support staff to ensure we continue to deliver high quality services and benefits for our Members.”

In the next few weeks the GGF and its subsidiaries will make more announcements on the recruitment for the two departments as well as the new campaigns, product developments and key events for the benefit of all connected to the GGF Group.
