Origin launches new 29mm sliding door

Manufacturer of aluminium doors and windows, Origin, has unveiled its latest product launch – the OS-29 (Patio Slider). The new sliding door is the slimmest semi-dry glaze system in the UK, featuring a 29mm sightline and offering wide customer appeal. The OS-29 offers another sightline option in the Origin Patio Sliding Door range, joining the already well-established OS-44 and OS-77 (with 44mm and 77mm sightline options respectively). Its design and launch comes as a result of market feedback wanting slimmer sightlines, easier transport options and a more straightforward installation in comparison to wet glazed systems.

It offers the same maximum sizes as the OS-44 and OS-77, yet has smaller minimum sizes, meaning it can be installed into a wider range of properties. What’s more, the OS-29 is immediately available for Origin Partners to quote and order on Origin’s revolutionary OSS. Built from a high-grade aluminium, the OS-29 is as strong as it is sleek, designed to maximise light coming into the home. Like all Origin products, it is manufactured in the UK, offers an industry-leading guarantee of up to 20-years and is available in over 150 RAL colours.

Daniel Baker, MD at Origin, comments: “At Origin, we always aim to be at the forefront of innovation, challenging industry norms, and making the lives of our Partners as simple as possible. When our customers called for a nimble and easily transportable sliding door, we answered. And the result is a stunningly designed and engineered system that offers incredible versatility, giving the Origin Partner network even more to offer their customers and even greater control over their success. In addition, this launch is testament to our ambitions as a business and the work ethic of the team whom, during 2020 and the first quarter of this year, have worked incredibly hard to enable us to bring this product to market.
