Product development takes centre stage with new slimline sliding door

Last year, Alunet Systems, the UK’s fastest growing aluminium systems house, rebranded to allow more scope to source the best products from the world’s top suppliers, as well as to speed up the product development process. In just a matter of months since then, the company is excited to announce the launch of its stunning new slimline sliding patio door system, with a super-slim interlock of just 25mm.

Sliding doors are currently experiencing a resurgence in popularity for their ability to accommodate large expanses of glass, as a way of integrating areas of the home without occupying inner space. The ESS47 Hybrid Sliding Door System is an ultra-modern, super-slim sliding patio door solution with single, double and triple track options and the option of lift and slide. It has been designed for large opening sizes of up to 2.5m x 2.7m per sash and sash weight of up to 250kg. And with a super slim interlock of just 25mm, some stunning large-scale installations can be achieved with slim sightlines and large glass expanses for maximum vision.

The system also boasts many fitter and fabricator friendly features such as adjustable rollers, quick cleat fabrication with spring clip locator and an easy-to-fabricate interlock. Other details focus on high performance and security, to guarantee a happy homeowner and reduce the likelihood of issues and callbacks, like the anti-lift and bumper device all-in-one, interlock cap that houses an anti-rattle device and spring-loaded draught excluder, a bottom track that houses a drainage channel for water run-off and rubber gaskets for better weathering.

The ESS47 Hybrid Sliding Door System has been produced for Alunet by EUROPA, one of the leading aluminium extrusion companies in Greece. Founded in 1974, it is today one of the largest and most recognised aluminium companies in domestic and international markets. This partnership is a perfect example of Alunet’s new direction since its rebrand, giving access to UK fabrication businesses to the best suppliers for each product type, all available from one UK distributor. This is just the first of several planned new products launches for Alunet in 2023, which will also see a super-slim flush sash casement window system set to launch in the second quarter.

It was recently revealed that Alunet will be returning to FIT Show this year for the third time. There will be opportunity to see the new slimline sliding patio door system as well as the new super-slim flush sash casement window system and new super slim sash for the BF73 bifold system at Alunet’s stand, G35.
