In just a few short weeks the Haffner SBA-2 PVC-U machining centre is having a significant impact on the company’s efficiencies and production output: “It’s just so fast,” said Burbage Custom Windows director, James Meah. “We’re seeing a difference already, not just in the speed of the fabrication process but the fact that we’re able to make savings in other areas of the business as a result.” In order to keep up with production, and meet customer demand, James is planning on recruiting three new fabricator personnel and a full-time order processor later this summer.
This investment forms part of the company’s strategic long-term plan. After 20+ years as a significant and renowned retail business, Burbage Custom Windows is extending its reach with the creation of a new trade division. The requirement for additional capacity is thanks, in part, to the long-term and continued success of Burbage’s relationship with Profile 22, during which the system company has helped develop and encourage growth.
