Reduced lead times from DoorCo across standard and painted doors

Composite door supplier, DoorCo announces reduced lead times for standard and painted prepped doors. The move follows a period of consolidation which has seen a restructured and revitalised team combined with renovation of their Macclesfield hub for added capacity. 

“DoorCo is a customer-centric organisation, meaning our customers are at the heart of everything we do”, says Dan Sullivan, DoorCo MD. “Our products, services and innovations are driven by their feedback to ensure that anything we invest in will directly benefit them. It’s key that we can enhance their composite door offering to help them grow. 

“In a recent survey, one of the key areas where customers wanted to see improvement was the turnaround on prepped doors so they could better meet the demand from their customers and service them in a timely and efficient manner. This was already in focus for the team as part of our consolidation project, following our well documented journey to market leadership and our G22 Component Supplier of the Year award”. 

Aaron Williamson, Head of Manufacturing at DoorCo continues: “We are determined to make the customer experience of DoorCo the best it can be and in order to deliver, we’ve made significant investment in assessing, amending and updating the business. Our aim was to keep building on our strong foundations and ensure that we continue to consistently deliver against our compass and values, now and in the future.

“From our team – getting the right people in the right roles – to a full redesign of the shopfloor, we’ve opened up capacity, improved communication and most importantly, reduced manufacturing lead times. Standard prepped doors will now be delivered in 7 days and painted doors in 9. Customer retention is at the heart of our service-driven approach, to be best in class and to support customers in as many ways as possible. Our focus going forward is to deliver yet more value to our existing customers. All departments are involved in identifying and developing ways in which we can deliver at every step, putting the customer at the heart of what we do. We have big plans and with the people we now have in place, who believe in our values, we can demonstrate that we are serious when we say our customers are at the heart of everything we do and their positive experience of us, as a supply partner, is paramount.”
