Growth coincides with major investment by Sliders UK in its infrastructure and manufacturing capability. This includes the launch of a new night shift, boosting production capacity on aluminium bi-folding, french and sliding door lines, plus its composite door line by 60%. The specialist door manufacturer has also launched a new in-house spray painting facility, increasing flexibility of finish and shortening lead times on special order composite door colours. The purpose-built facility, gives Sliders UK the flexibility to offer composite doors in any RAL colour. These are sprayed in high performance and environmentally friendly, solvent-free water-based paints and come with a full 10-year guarantee.
“The demand we have seen for our new composite door offer has been exceptional,” said Mines. “It’s Part Q approved, including PAS24 cut-through testing, while we have underwritten it with some of the most stringent performance guarantees. This includes a 3mm bowing tolerance, compared to 6mm and even 8mm tolerances on other composites. “With our in-house spray painting capability and rapid turnaround on special colour orders, it’s a very competitive offer, which is delivering commercial advantage to our customers. “Alongside the Ultimate Evolution bi-fold, and AluK bi-fold and inline sliding door, which give us a strong presence in aluminium, in addition to our PVC-U bi-fold and inline sliding ranges from Duraflex and Eurocell, we’re able to bring a very flexible product and service offer to market.”
