Stellar Aluminium helps deliver standout coastal development on Anglesey

Stellar Aluminium has played a key role in delivering a premium finish at Glynllifon, an exclusive gated coastal development at Traeth Bychan on Anglesey’s eastern coastline.

Developed by Glynllifon Ltd, the scheme comprises a collection of two- and three-bedroom apartments alongside four-bedroom townhouses, all positioned on the elevated site of a former hotel. The development has transformed the location into a striking residential destination with panoramic views across the coastline, countryside and mountains.

With glazing central to both the architectural vision and overall value of the properties, achieving the right balance of aesthetics, durability and performance was critical.

Main contractor AEJ Construction Services Ltd appointed local glazing specialist D Woolley UPVC Windows, with all products manufactured by Approved Commercial Partner Heritage Trade Frames. Stellar Aluminium was selected as the principal aluminium system for the project, complemented by Profile 22 PVC-U products to meet the exacting requirements of the development.

Due to the exposed coastal setting, products specified for the project were required to achieve severe weather ratings in line with BS6375, including air permeability and water tightness of 600Pa, alongside wind resistance of 2400Pa.

Stellar Aluminium Fully Flush Casement windows were installed, delivering a flush finish both internally and externally, while slimline bifold doors provided the ideal combination of contemporary styling and high-performance weather protection. Profile 22 sculptured windows were also specified, creating a refined and consistent aesthetic throughout the wider scheme.

All products were finished in Anthracite Grey, creating a cohesive modern appearance. Durability was further enhanced by Stellar Aluminium’s QUALICOAT Seaside specification as standard, offering increased protection in coastal environments and backed by a 25-year guarantee.

In total, the project included 50 windows, 18 French doors, nine bifold doors and nine composite doors, delivering a complete glazing solution throughout the development.

The completed gated complex has created a highly desirable coastal destination, with properties positioned as premium holiday investments and second-home retreats.
