Thermal efficiency to dominate homeowner demands by 2025

Glideline has reported an increased number of enquiries for superior thermal efficiency, with the nationwide aluminium manufacturer’s customers relying on its slimline system for the increased thermal performance and insulation homeowners are looking for.

With the Future Homes Standard inching closer and Building Regulations being a hot topic, homeowners are becoming increasingly aware of the benefits of high-quality aluminium glazing. Glideline’s slimline aluminium systems are proving to be the perfect combination of innovative design and ultra-low U-values.

“Superior thermal efficiency is definitely at the top of the checklist among our enquiries at the moment. Plus, with quite a cold start to winter, it’s no surprise that homeowners are prioritising staying warm, without having to face sky-high heating bills,” says Glideline’s Managing Director, David Pickering.

“While enhanced performance is in high demand, good looking windows and doors are equally as important to homeowners. Slim sightlines and a sleek design aren’t going out of style any time soon, and our range of aluminium glazing solutions deliver on it all – whether it’s our Frameless Windows, Bifold or Sliding Doors, Rooflights, Casement Windows, or soon-to-be launched 15mm Sliding Door,” David explains.

“The proof is in our performance too,” David adds. “If you take one of our high-performing double glazed units for example, when combined with our slimline aluminium frames, it delivers a U-value of 1.3 W/m²K – helping us meet and exceed regulations, while going above and beyond functionality and style.”
