Unique named Business of the Year 2023

Unique Windows Systems has continued its run of award success.

Just eight days after being recognised with the LeicestershireLive Business Award for Growth 2023, the fabricator of PVCu and aluminium windows, doors, and curtain walling, has received two more awards at the Leicestershire Business Awards. 

Held this year on the 3^rd of November 2023 at the Venue@DMU (De Montford University), the Leicestershire Business Awards are staged by East Midlands Chamber. 

Their purpose is to acknowledge and celebrate world-class organisations from across the county. They regularly attract hundreds of entries from companies operating across a wide range of different and diverse sectors.

Unique Window Systems was shortlisted as a finalist in three categories – Outstanding Growth, Environmental Impact, and Apprentice of the Year, in recognition of Kaustubh Vijaikumar who is a maintenance apprentice at the company.

Unique was announced as the winner of the Outstanding Growth Award due to its ongoing rapid and sustained growth. In the last two years, the business has seen its turnover almost double from £20.8 million to £39.2 million. During the same time period, Unique’s team has also grown by 50% – from 200 to 300 employees.

Unique attributes its phenomenal success to a focus on reinvesting back into its people and its operations, a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of quality, and its ability – as a business that proudly remains family owned – to deliver responsive and personable levels of service.

All of the winners of the thirteen separate award categories on the night were subsequently considered for the overall main award of Leicestershire Business of the Year 2023. 

Against strong competition, Unique was selected as the winner of this highly coveted and prestigious title.

The double award win is just the latest in a succession of accolades for Unique Window Systems. It has also been acknowledged with a ranking on the UK Top 100 Fabricator / Installer list and with a listing on the Top 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain (a league table compiled by the London Stock Exchange Group) for the last four consecutive years.
