Window Supply Co invests in new Edinburgh trade counter to support rapid expansion

Almost exactly two years on from opening their flagship trade counter in Loanhead, Edinburgh, West Lothian based window and door manufacturer Window Supply Company (WSC) invests in a new facility creating an enhanced trade counter to support expanding customer base.

The 5,200 square ft warehouse and office space is located within the long established and popular business location Dryden Vale in the Bilston Glen Industrial Estate. Just five miles South of Edinburgh City Centre, Dryden Vale boasts excellent transport links with the city bypass connecting the A1, M8 and M9 – ensuring the trade counter is easily accessible to its Edinburgh and surrounding areas customer base.

The modern business unit, located in units 1 and 2 Dryden Vale is more than double the size of the previous unit occupied at number 6, with the additional space allowing for the continuing rise in market demand for windows and doors. The branch will also soon stock Liniar trims that will perfectly match the Liniar window system the company currently manufactures.

The new unit boasts prominent frontage within the industrial estate for maximum visibility to passing trade, more customer parking and easily accommodates the free skip service WSC offers trade customers. This initiative saves WSC customers precious time and money on skip hire, by providing free skips in all branches for old window and door waste from previous jobs.

Branch Manager Craig Stewart says ‘The progress we have made in two years is incredible. Our customer base has more than tripled since re-opening after the first lockdown, and the new location will allow us to continually meet customer demand. The relocation within Bilston Glen Industrial Estate is perfect for picking up passing trade and the ideal place to best service our Edinburgh and surrounding areas customers.’

Fiona Rafferty, Head of Sales adds, ‘The Loanhead branch is an important location for the business. Loanhead was the first of our trade counters to open back in August 2019 and has enjoyed phenomenal growth since. This is testament to the hard work and dedication of the team, particularly this past year which has been a difficult one. The move represents another big step forward in optimising the company’s footprint to best service our customers’.

Window Supply Company Loanhead is in Units 1 & 2, Dryden Vale, Bilston Glen Industrial Estate, Loanhead. EH20 9HN. The company also has trade counters in Aberdeen, Bellshill, Dundee and Livingston.
