Yale & MB DIY reinforce partnership with showcase at new facility

The strong partnership between Yale Door and Window Solutions and its long-term customer MB DIY, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of premium home improvement products, has been underlined after MB DIY decided to present Yale products in pride of place in the prime shop floor retail space in their new purpose-built consumer and trade showroom forming part of its headquarters in Middlesbrough. Yale worked closely with the company to create the bespoke retail displays, which showcase Smart Living products and the Yale Lifetime Security Guarantee, in the showroom at MB DIY’s impressive new purpose-built 30,000 ft2 facility.

“We’ve worked with Yale for more than 21 years and have always promoted a full suite of Yale door and window hardware,” says Mike Greenup, Managing Director at MB DIY. “We see smart technology playing a large part in the future of home security and the new displays are testament to our relationship with Yale, which is based on its excellent products and well-known brand. The Lifetime Security Guarantee demonstrates the reliable nature of Yale’s hardware solutions and is an excellent selling aide for the trade when retailing doors and windows.”

Yale’s Smart Living range of home security devices helps users to protect, monitor, and control their homes – anywhere and at any time – via smartphones or tablets. It includes Smart Door Locks, Smart Home Alarms, Smart CCTV systems and Home View WiFi cameras – all of which can work as standalone solutions or connect as part of an advanced smart security ecosystem. Based on Yale’s reputation for excellence and being an instantly recognisable brand, the Lifetime Security Guarantee provides simple reassurance to homeowners of the security aspect of the door or window, assisting fabricators and installers hugely in the retail environment. “It’s been great to watch MB DIY grow and develop during our 21-year partnership, culminating in their new state-of-the-art facility in Middlesbrough,” comments Paul Gravell, Key Account Manager at Yale. “We wish the team all the best in their new premises and look forward to working with them long into the future.”
