AB Glass boosts management team

AB Glass, an aluminium manufacturing and installation company based in Swansea, has appointed two new managers to help enhance business growth. Geraint Thomas, aged 44 from Pontarddulais, has joined AB Glass as trade department manager. He has worked in the glazing industry for 20 years and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. Thomas has been appointed by the award winning company to assist the trade department to reach business objectives and bring a wider knowledge base to this area of the company.  Chris Hughes, aged 37 from Carmarthenshire, also joins the team through his appointment as business development manager, to steer the continued growth of the business. Chris previously worked as a commercial manager in the sector, with a record for achieving unprecedented growth. In addition to his extensive experience in business development, Chris brings with him in-depth knowledge of the construction market across Wales and the South of England.

Nigel Harvey, director of operations at AB Glass, commented: “We are really pleased to welcome Chris and Geraint to the team. They both have significant experience within the glazing and manufacturing fields and will undoubtedly be a real asset to AB Glass. The company has ambitious growth objectives and with the addition of Chris and Geraint to the management team, we are confident these will be achieved.”

AB Glass boasts an impressive project portfolio, having worked on a number of multimillion pound projects across the UK during its 25 years in business. The company was also announced Manufacturing Business of the Year and the overall Business of the Year at the Swansea Bay Business Awards 2017, which were held in March. These two awards add to the many accolades the business has won over the years.
