NorDan UK appoints new managing director
High performance European timber windows and doors manufacturer, NorDan Group, has appointed Craig Greenwood as its new Managing Director for NorDan UK. Craig assumed his new role on 1 January 2024, following several years as UK Commercial Director, and replaces longstanding Managing Director, Alex Brown, who remains part of the UK business as Non-Executive Chairman.
NorDan UK has also recorded another year of record turnover in 2023, announcing sales figures of £85m, which represent a 12% increase on 2022’s £75.9m. Last year’s £9.1m increase in sales follows on from 2022’s record year of growth, 34%, and is the ninth consecutive year that the company has increased its sales in the UK.
New Managing Director, Craig Greenwood, said: “I am excited and proud to be NorDan UK’s new Managing Director. Thank you to our Group CEO, Dag Kroslid, and the NorDan Group for this opportunity. There’s no doubt that NorDan UK is a strong and stable business with tremendous potential for growth. The NorDan gospel of low-carbon, high quality and performance is spreading far-and-wide. Last year (2023) saw 40% of our sales come from customers in the Southeast of England, with ten of the twelve big G15 London social landlords now purchasing our window and doors. I’m sure that this success can be replicated across the nation, and we’ve invested in new people and infrastructure across the UK to ensure that NorDan UK realises the next phase of its potential. Despite the anticipated construction industry slowdown, we’re forecasting a further 10% increase in sales in 2024.”
Dag Kroslid, NorDan Group CEO commented: “We are very pleased to announce Craig as our new NorDan UK Managing Director. He has been with NorDan UK for almost a decade and has a proven track record of success. I am confident he is the right person to lead NorDan UK into the future and continue delivering exceptional results for our customers.”
NorDan UK is the British arm of the Norwegian founded NorDan Group, a multinational business that turns over £450m from its European subsidiaries, employing over 2,300 people across 12 factories and 32 sales offices.
