Lee Marriott, Business Development Manager at Comp Door

Comp Door is fast becoming the solid timber core composite door of choice with installers and homeowners, for those looking for a dependable, part L compliant composite door. The rapidly growing manufacturer has announced that Lee Marriott will be joining the business in the New Year, taking on the role of Business Development Manager. He will work alongside Comp Door Sales Director, Richard Diliberto, and Lee Williams in the sales team.

Lee Marriott has many years of experience within the Fenestration Industry and has been highly successful in similar roles, having previously worked for major brands in PVCu, machining and ancillaries. Lee’s new role will see him operating on a national level, forming new trade partnerships with Comp Door’s growing customer base of installers, fabricators and trade counters.

Richard Diliberto commented, “Lee’s knowledge of the industry and professionalism will undoubtably prevail in helping him to be successful in his new role with Comp Door. I’m positive that he will very shortly become a valued member of our business, in winning even more new customers and taking our brand even further.”

Lee Marriot said of his new appointment, “I’m joining a first-grade company with an excellent product offering that is second to none for solid timber core composite doors. I’m looking forward to helping to grow the company and watching it flourish into what we all know it can be.”

Comp Door’s new solid timber core composite door has been taking the industry by storm since it began manufacturing from Staffordshire in March this year and is already producing a significant number of doors per month. It is also currently the only solid timber core composite door on the market to meet part L regulations, which many competitors, so far, are not able to do.

The team at Comp Door wanted to create a reliable product for trade customers and put an end to them having to do multiple call backs to fitted doors that should perform well over time, something that is all too common in the current market. As a result, installers often end up receiving bad reviews and lose business due to a subpar product, through no fault of their own, which often ends up in unhappy homeowners and fitters being out of pocket. Thermal movement can be part of any composite door product. But Comp Door’s unique cross-laminated Albasia Falcata solid timber core combined with a slam shut, auto-fire lock as standard, has been designed to minimise this.

This automatic multi-point locking system features four self-locking, deadbolt latches that activate when the door is closed and keeps the door latched at all times over the full height of the door. It requires no homeowner intervention as with a single latch and lift lever, thus eliminating the chance of the door not being secured properly, and minimising the thermal movement that causes warping or bowing associated with some other brands.

The solid timber core is then bonded with revolutionary, high-performance CoolSkin technology, engineered to withstand extreme temperature changes and maintain optimum impact performance, with a colour protective layer so that it won’t get worn away or chipped. Comp Door’s technically advanced InvisiEdge system gives a seamless colour edge to the door faces. This also helps to stop any unwanted water penetration and protects your timber core, while staying discreetly concealed behind your beautiful Comp Door exterior.
