Composite show stoppers

Solidor yet again stole the FIT Show with a sizzling display of composite door innovation with 17 colours on show, new Winkhaus hardware, additional customer service initiatives and the launch of the exceptional Solidor 88 and Residence 9 doors.

Alongside their front of house stand, there was even a further 14 Solidor doors on other exhibitors stands, as their second generation composite doors leave their other first generation cousins behind. The second FIT Show proved that product innovation is part of the DNA for the glazing industry and Solidor again cemented their status as the pioneers and innovators in composite door design.

The newly launched Solidor 88 was launched at the show, which harness a 62mm solid hardwood slab combined with a KBE 88 door frame, achieving a centre pane U-value of just 0.9 W/m2K with the option of further developments to create a true Passivhaus solution. The new dedicated Residence 9 door frame is 100mm deep and again harnesses the 62mm slab and was incredibly well received by a number of loyal and existing Residence 9 window frame customers.

Solidor was a launch partner with Winkhaus back in April for the patented blueMatic AV2-B battery operated automatic multi-point locking system, which both companies claim is a 21st Century keyless solution for modern composite doors. This new locking system was hugely popular by visitors to the stand, with no evidence of any other company in the sector featuring this impressive locking system.

Throughout the three days the Solidor stand was packed with both existing customers and newly sought ones including Glazerite, Tradelink Direct and fellow exhibitors, Truframe. The show proved to be the perfect platform for cementing existing relationships and to show off the latest developments on the Door Designer feature for the website and the newly launched Solidor Cloud.

Gareth Mobley, managing director of Solidor Group, commented: ‘Yet again we had an incredible show with over 300 leads and the opportunity to add further value to our customers. Our new Solidor 88 and Residence 9 composite doors add further credence to our premium position in the composite door sector, which we believe still has considerable potential for further development.’
