Crittall enhances West End hotel luxury

Central London’s newest luxury boutique hotel offers guests a sleek, contemporary interior enhanced by the installation of Crittall screens and doors.

The Radisson Blu Edwardian Hampshire Hotel occupies a sought-after position overlooking the hectic bustle of Leicester Square. The five-star, 127-bedroom building features bespoke Crittall steel products, designed and supplied by Lightfoot Windows (Kent) Ltd., to delineate the various public areas within the ground floor.

Guests can now relax in the partitioned zones where they can enjoy sumptuous food, traditional afternoon tea or signature cocktails. The screens and doors are constructed from W20 double-glazed, polyester powder coated components. The inherent strength of the steel makes possible the slimmest of frames and glazing beads to ensure the maximum amount of light enters the interior spaces.

The installation also includes a cold form door from the Jansen ECO 50 range supplied by Crittall Fabrications Ltd. In addition to the lobby and ground floor interior Lightfoot has also installed screens and doors in the hotel’s exclusive penthouse suites.

The dark powder-coated hue of the screens was selected to blend harmoniously with the various tones of timber, exposed brickwork, aged leather and vintage metal that dignify the appearance of the newly-refurbished hotel’s interior spaces.

Lightfoot Windows (Kent) Ltd, a family run firm established in 1935, is the largest approved distributor and installer of Crittall steel windows in the UK. The company prides itself on the comprehensive service including consultations, design brief meetings, site visits and surveys, undertaken to ensure that all client requirements are met fully.
