Emplas aims for the ‘triple crown’ with three G14 finalist short-listings

Emplas has been short-listed as a finalist in three different categories at this year’s G-Awards including the prestigious Fabricator of the Year category.

Emplas, which launched its new Installer Partnership this summer, was also short-listed in the Customer Care Initiative of the Year and the Promotional Campaign of the Year – Trade, classifications.

Mike Crewdson, Sales and Marketing Director, Emplas, said that the short-listings marked a year of significant achievement for the Wellingborough-based trade specialist.

He said: “2014 has been a very exciting year for Emplas and its customers. This includes a change at the top, with the appointment of Ryan Johnson as MD in May, some exciting new product offers and the launch of the Emplas Installer Partnership at the end of the summer.

“We’re committed to redefining the supplier customer relationship, bringing a new level of support and service to installers. That this has been recognised is a fantastic achievement, whatever the outcome on the 21st November.”

The Emplas Installer Partnership offers qualifying installers access to new levels of support drawing on its understanding of the retail sector through its own (and Northamptonshire-only) retail business T&K – the G12-Awards Installer of the Year winner.

This includes dedicated lead generation and sales support, marketing support including a free website, search engine optimisation and copywriting, plus dedicated marketing collateral including their own-branded protective tape retail brochures and point of sale material.

Qualifying installers also get a free laptop or tablet preloaded with software to allow them to access Emplas’ 24/7 online and order tracking service. Training programmes and workshops are also offered as part of an industry game changing offer.

In addition to one of the UK’s most comprehensive product ranges, Emplas is offering Installer Partnership members access to one of the industry’s most competitively priced composite door ranges.

Crewdson concluded: “The industry is changing. The recession drove higher expectations of service and support because installers needed it to win business. We don’t see why that should be any different now, even during a period of recovery.

“We’re here for the long haul and we’re in it with our customers. We share our learning and our understanding with them every step of the way. The relationship between installer and fabricator needs to be much more than that of supplier and customer, we see it as a genuine partnership and one that needs to work for both partners, not just one.”

A poll last year revealed that Emplas’ product quality was rated good or excellent by 98.7 per cent of its customers compared to an industry average of 79.2 per cent. It also scored an enviable 99.3 per cent figure for complete and on time deliveries compared to an 84.6 per cent industry average.
