Everglade conference focuses on adapting to the changing market

More than 100 guests joined Everglade Windows for its 12th trade customer conference on 5 July. Focusing on how businesses can adapt to the changing market, delegates heard from four guest speakers including Everglade’s Sales & Marketing Director Jay Patel. The attendees got a first look at the new aïr 80HI high insulation flush aluminium window and enjoyed Everglade’s legendary hospitality: “This year was our best conference yet!” says Jay. “We’ve had some great feedback from customers, who found the presentation content useful and interesting and loved having a first look at our new products.”

Guest speakers gave attendees practical business advice and insight into the wider economy, the technology landscape and the construction industry. Reena Popat and Jayesh Jotangia from Carter Bond solicitors talked to attendees about the Consumer Rights Act, giving practical advice on how it could affect installers and how they can protect themselves. Certass Chair, Jon Vanstone provided insight on Brexit, the wider construction economy and what’s happening in Government policy that will affect installation companies. Candice Arnold from tech experts Quantiq gave guests the low-down on the rise of the robots and how emerging software and technology can change how homeowners buy and engage with businesses.

Jay explains: “We always want to make our conference content valuable for customers, with lots of information and advice. It’s also a great opportunity for us to recommend best practice, hints and tips to help customers make the most of the market. At this year’s conference, we launched the aïr 80HI high insulation flush aluminium window and new products with great cross-selling opportunities including our new range of privacy screens for wide-span doors, Regal hardware for windows and Serenity handles for aïr doors. “We also added three new pieces of literature to the marketing support package for customers – the aïr 20SL brochure, aïr MOD-Series brochure and Everglade product selector tool.” Anthony Bowyer, Director at Bowalker Windows said: “We have been coming to Everglade conferences for more than 10 years and they get better every time. I thought the content was great this year and it’s good to see new products first. Plus, Everglade do a great job of looking after us with dinner and drinks to finish off the day!”
