GGF to sponsor ‘People in Glass Society’ events

The Glass and Glazing Federation has agreed with organizers Balls2Marketing, to be a sponsor for three “People in Glass Society” (PIGS) events in 2015.

In the last few years the GGF and many GGF Members have attended these popular social events that offer great networking opportunities across the industry.

People in Glazing Society was set up in 2004 as a way for Editors in the glass and glazing press to mingle with event organisers, public relations professionals and marketing personnel. Since those early days it has grown in popularity, and attendees now regularly include manufacturers, suppliers and installers from all industry sectors.

The networking events place the emphasis on face-to-face contact, in an age where ‘friends’ are often counted by the number of online connections! The success of PIGS proves that people do still need and want to meet up, chat and socialise – and perhaps do a bit of business – in a relaxed, social environment.

James Lee, GGF Head of Marketing and Communications commented, “The GGF has been attending the PIGS events for a number of years and the occasions have been excellent for networking with media contacts, catching up with GGF Members and networking with potential Members. They are great industry events that have their own unique niche in the industry’s calendar. We are delighted to be one of the sponsors this year.”

This year, the GGF has sponsored the events which are scheduled for three different UK locations – Manchester (in March), London (in summer) and Birmingham (in autumn). Balls2Marketing will be issuing exact dates and venues in due course so look out for further details soon.
