HiTech launches unique aluminium rooflight with integrated blind

Specialist integral blind manufacturer Hitech Blinds, has launched its new aluminium rooflight system, which features a fully integrated pleated blind as standard – a unique offer in the UK. Unveiled this month, the new HiTech TRL90 Rooflight, is suitable for new-build installation or retro-fit across residential and commercial markets. Manufactured in an ultra-slim aluminium profile, with mitre cut and mechanically cleated corners, the easy-to-install system is available in eight sizes of up to 1200mm X 2200mm. Standard colours are black, grey and white with any RAL colour available on special order.

With a choice of double-or triple-glazed energy efficient options, the HiTech TRL90 Rooflight, is supplied with a white pleated and fully retractable integrated blind, as standard. Supplied with a wall mounted and remote control, the motorised system allows users to retract and open the blind which retracts behind a ceramic paint screen when fully opened. Ian Woolley, Sales Director, HiTech Blinds said: “We’ve developed the HiTech TR90 as a complete system, offering fully integrated motorised blinds as standard. The potential application of the product is massive across residential and commercial markets, including retrofit to suitable flat roofs. Rooflights are a growing sector of the market. Fully integrated and motorised blinds offer a unique point of differentiation within it.”

Also available for supply with a standard IGU only and without integrated blinds, selected stock sizes are supplied on a next day basis, with non-stock items available for delivery in as little as 5 days. The system is fully guaranteed for 5 years. All IGUs are manufactured to deliver the highest levels of performance with a laminated softcoat inner pane, warm-edge spacer and 6mm tough outer-pane. All units are argon filled as standard achieving u-values as low as 1.0 W/m2K. Where supplied with integral blinds, the system runs off a mains supply at the wall control. “We’ve developed the HiTech TR90 as an opportunity for fitters to pitch an added-value and, therefore, higher margin option, to the end-user. The Hitech TR90 delivers as a standard rooflight, offering great sightlines and superb performance. Supplied as standard with fully integrated blinds, however, the TR90 Rooflight generates a unique and high margin sales opportunity,” Ian concluded.
