The UK glass and glazing sector came together in style on 28 November for the G25 Awards, a landmark event in the industry calendar held at the London Hilton on Park Lane. Now in its 21st year, the black-tie gala celebrated outstanding achievements across the sector, from technical innovation to customer care and sustainability.

Hosted by comedian Troy Hawke, the ceremony recognised excellence across 14 categories, reflecting the depth and diversity of talent in the industry. Standout honours included Emplas, named Fabricator of the Year, and Ecoglass, awarded Glass Company of the Year. The Installer of the Year award went to The Window Hub, highlighting frontline excellence in customer delivery.

Sustainability took centre stage with Saint‑Gobain Glass winning Sustainability Initiative of the Year, affirming the industry’s commitment to greener building practices. Innovation was also front and centre: Pilkington UK was recognised for Machinery Innovation, while AluK GB’s S67 Sliding Door took New Product of the Year.

In a nod to the people behind the progress, Jason Gostling of Direct Trade (Yorkshire) was named Rising Star, and Ken Boak of SWC Trade Frames received the Unsung Hero Award for his behind-the-scenes contributions.

Organiser Tony Higgin lauded the event’s quality: “The entries showcased exceptional creativity and execution, highlighting the innovation and professionalism that drive our industry forward.”

A champagne reception sponsored by Emplas and Thermoseal Group set the tone for an evening of celebration, with entertainment carrying on into the early hours.

The awards also shone a light on initiatives that are shaping the future of the sector. UAP’s FDM programme won Training & Development Initiative of the Year, reflecting the importance of skills investment, while Safeware Hardwaretook Promotional Campaign of the Year for marketing excellence.

With the G26 Awards already confirmed for 27 November 2026, the sector now looks ahead to another year of innovation, growth, and recognition.
