Built in Blinds by ODL Europe

Leading supplier of added value building products for the home, ODL Europe, is delighted to announce the launch of an exciting new product designed to further help fabricators and installers sell to the consumer.

The new Built in Blind is a UK manufactured, cordless, integral blind system, which can be custom sized for conservatories, French doors, Bi-fold doors and Sliding Patio doors, and fitted at point of fabrication or installation. Unlike external blinds, Built in Blinds by ODL Europe are protected internally from any potential damage, have fingertip control and UV-stable slats, and require no cleaning or dusting. The blinds are also completely cord free by design, as recommended by child safety requirements of EN13120:2009+A1:2014, so you can reassure your customers that they are the safest possible solution for homes with small children.

As well as these very sellable benefits to the consumer, fabricators and installers are assured that glass units containing the blind are manufactured by a company with a 10+ year heritage in innovation, quality and added value – the same company which pioneered the popular TriSys glazing cassette for composite doors, as Managing Director of ODL Europe, Mark Towers, explains: “At ODL Europe, our philosophy has always been to build value into building products. We long ago recognised the need for a consumer friendly glazing cassette for composite doors in order to add value to our customers’ existing offering. This resulted in the creation of our TriSys system, and we are applying the same principles of adding value to the Built in Blind.

“Glass units with the blind inside are produced to meet the EN 1279 standards and are available gas filled and with low-E glass to improve U-Values, but the biggest benefit comes from our ability to custom size, so the same blind can feature in the conservatory as the bi-fold, French and sliding patio doors. ODL Europe has

historically been renown for our work in the entry door market, and the new product works in much the same way as our existing standard sized internal blinds for composite entry doors, but now transfers into other growth areas such as bi-folding and French doors, conservatories and orangeries, and is compatible with PVC-U, Timber and Aluminium glazing systems. Point of sale material and training can be provided to anyone who requires it, and we would be happy to speak with anybody wishing to incorporate the Built in Blind into their product range.”
