LSF Commercial celebrates three decades at Essex facility

2026 marks a major milestone for LSF Commercial as the commercial aluminium systems specialist celebrates 30 years at its headquarters and manufacturing facility in Rainham, Essex.

From modest beginnings producing shopfronts, the family-run business has evolved into a leading fabricator of high-performance aluminium windows, doors, curtain walling and shopfronts for commercial projects nationwide.  Over the past three decades, the company has continually invested in its people, premises and processes, transforming both its footprint and production capabilities.

Director Onkar Toot said: “Reaching 30 years at our Rainham facility is a proud moment for our family and our team. To see how far we’ve come, with 45 dedicated staff and a reputation for delivering complex, bespoke commercial packages, is a real achievement.”

Growth has accelerated sharply, with capacity tripling in the last 12 months alone. To support this expansion, LSF Commercial purchased a second unit on its existing site in 2015–16 and has since extended its facilities further to accommodate new storage areas and a state-of-the-art powder coating oven, installed within a purpose-built extension.

Investment in technology has also been central to the company’s evolution. Two advanced CNC machines now underpin its precision fabrication capability, enabling faster turnaround times and exceptional consistency across both standard and highly customised projects – an area that now represents a significant proportion of the business. In recent years, LSF Commercial has introduced a streamlined relay production system designed to guarantee a continuous flow of work through the factory. By reorganising processes and enhancing coordination between departments, processing times through the factory have been significantly reduced.

Onkar added: “Our relay system has transformed the way we operate. Every stage of production flows seamlessly into the next, eliminating bottlenecks and improving efficiency across the board.  That continuous flow means a better service for customers. It’s about combining state-of-the-art manufacturing with the personal commitment you only get from a family business.”

Three decades on, LSF Commercial’s Essex base remains the beating heart of a company focused firmly on future growth.
