Glazerite agrees exclusive 5-year deal with Veka

The Glazerite UK Group has agreed an exclusive new 5-year deal with Veka, further strengthening the long-term partnership between the leading systems company and fabricator.

The move marks a significant milestone in a relationship spanning more than 20-years, during which both businesses have grown and evolved together from Glazerite’s early years as a start-up fabricator to its position today as one of the UK’s leading window and door manufacturers.

The decision to move into a single-source supply agreement comes as part of Glazerite’s ambitious plans for growth. This includes a major restructure of its operations, with the objective of delivering a more agile and flexible service, increased competitivity and further quality enhancements.

It means that Glazerite will close its Deceuninck facility in Barnsley with immediate effect. Group manufacturing will be 100% Veka/Halo at the remaining three sites in Wellingborough, Peterborough and Bolton.

By consolidating its PVC-U systems supply with Veka, Glazerite will benefit from access to Veka’s complete product portfolio, ongoing investment in innovation and the strength of one of the most recognised brands in the industry.

Rob Brearley, Group Managing Director of Glazerite, said: “This decision is about positioning Glazerite for long-term growth. As our business continues to evolve, simplicity and focus become increasingly important. We believe a single-source partnership with Veka gives us the strongest platform to support our customers and drive future growth.”

“Veka gives us everything we need from a systems partner; a comprehensive product range, strong brand recognition, ongoing innovation and the capability to support both our trade customers and growing commercial ambitions. It made the decision a straightforward one – this feels right and we’re excited for what comes next.

Neil Evans, Managing Director at Veka plc, added: “Glazerite has been a hugely important partner for VEKA for many years and we’re delighted to be entering this next chapter together.”

“Both businesses share a commitment to growth, innovation and supporting customers to succeed. By working closely together under a single-source framework, we’re creating a simpler, stronger and more focused platform for the future. We welcome the responsibility that the trust Glazerite places in us creates and will continue to demonstrate the value of the credentials we have”.
