Midland Aluminium adds slim interlock option to Visoglide Plus range

Staffordshire-based trade supplier Midland Aluminium is bringing a new slim interlock option to its Visoglide Plus range, cutting the visible frame profile where glass panels overlap down to 20mm from the previous 35mm.

The slimmer interlock will allow installers to offer a patio door that features slimmer sightlines as the aluminium sliding patio door market continues to grow.

Jason Wootton, Director at Midland Aluminium, said: “Homeowners want thinner profiles and more glass these days so they can look out at their garden without a chunky frame getting in the way.”

Jason explained the thinking behind the move: “Bifolds are rarely fully opened, so when they’re closed those vertical mullions cut right across the view. A slimline slider with a 20mm interlock provides near-uninterrupted glazing. That’s the look people are asking for now and it’s where the market is heading.”
