North East Installer’s sales rocket thanks to partnership with Customade

For a new business to increase turnover by 60% in its first year is very impressive, but that’s precisely what Chester-le-Street installer Arc Home Design is on course to achieve thanks to the opening of a new showroom and a partnership with one of the industry’s leading names – Customade Group.

Owner Anthony McKeough set up Arc Home Design just six months ago to offer homeowners across the North-East a wide range of PVC-U and aluminium windows, doors and glazed roof systems. Rather than source his products from several different suppliers though, Anthony was keen to partner with one full service supplier who could provide not only the variety of top quality products he wanted, but also offer the service and showroom and marketing support he needed. That partner is Customade Group.

“Customade has been absolutely superb,” says Anthony. “It’s brilliant to find a partner who is so willing to put in the effort to help me grow, diversify and make my business stand out in customers’ minds by offering something different. With their help I’m already looking at doubling my turnover within two years!”

Anthony opened his 160 square metre purpose-built showroom just a few weeks ago and sales have taken off immediately with several doors, bi-fold doors and Atlas glazed roofs already installed. The showroom features an extensive range of products from across Customade Group brands, including REAL Aluminium bi-fold doors, three composite doors and the ultra-modern Virtu-AL door from Virtuoso Doors, PVC-U windows from Polyframe and traditional and contemporary roof lanterns from Atlas Roof Solutions.

Arc Home Design also stocks the stunning Skyroom contemporary mock orangery from Atlas – in fact, Anthony’s is the only showroom in the North-East with a Skyroom, having a 5×3 metre version on display.

“The Skyroom has proved to be a real draw,” adds Arc Home Design director Karen McKeough. “With its slim frames and sleek modern appearance, it’s a fantastic product. Customers love the look of the Skyroom and when we explain its strength and affordability, it literally sells itself! Putting it in the showroom has been one of the best investments we’ve made.”

The Arc showroom features several displays and brochures – all part of Customade’s showroom and marketing support – that have helped Anthony increase his sales conversion ratio to more than 90% and he’s now stocking a full range of aluminium products to take advantage of the growing demand for aluminium over PVC-U. His ambitious plans for the future also include a local radio campaign with Smooth Radio.

Gareth Thomas, sales director at Customade Group, is impressed by Anthony’s success to date. “Congratulations to Anthony on achieving so much in such a relatively short time. His phenomenal success is typical of the new breed of installers who realise the benefits of having a wider range of products from one supplier, with all the support we can offer. I’d like to wish him luck for the future and look forward to helping Arc Home Design become one of the leading names in the region.”
