Over 1 million windows now feature Glazpart’s game-changing Link Vent

This is the sales milestone reached earlier this year of the innovative and game-changing trickle ventilator the Link Vent, launched by Glazpart in just 2016. Up to 1,000,000 windows have been fitted with the Link vents across the country. Reducing callbacks, minimising negative feedback and maximising potential margins. Homeowners love the smaller size and greater performance delivered by the product as it is less draughty when closed and there are fewer gaps to create those little whistles combined with complete control of the closure plate to allow just the right level of fresh air.

Adopted by fabricators, distributors and installers alike the vents, which are the size of a traditional 2000 vent, with the performance of a typical 4000 vent are leading the market now with more than 1,000,000 windows fitted with the Link vent. Fabricators have benefited from the reduction in stock whilst speeding routing in production and you only need one vent type and rout size to meet the minimum regulatory requirements of Approved Document F. Smaller windows can now also comply due to the smaller 235mm vent size. How many small downstairs toilets, pantry and utility room windows have been fitted with a 2000 vent which does not comply to the minimum requirements!

Installers have benefited from the much faster installation using the standard fitting clips but still with the ability to screw the vents on and there is no frustration from broken or lost end caps on the job as there aren’t any to be lost! Astute installers are also taking the opportunity to add value to the job with the premium colour finishes that match the increasing number of coloured profiles. Why sell a vent for £10 when you could get £20 per vent!

Homeowner and tenants’ feedback has also been very positive in that they love the opening action of the internal vent and disappears almost into the fabric of the frame or sash when closed – plus, that it is available in 36 colours including the market-leading woodgrain finishes.
