The new 132,000 sq ft warehouse features an eaves height of 12m to accommodate the huge volumes of stock and has seven dock level loading doors and four drive in doors to make vehicle loading fast and efficient.
The location at Manor Park in Runcorn is just a few miles across the Mersey from Rehau’s previous warehouse in Widnes so is still just as convenient for transporting profile from Rehau’s factory in Blaenau, North Wales and onto its network of fabricators nationwide.
Rehau’s newly liveried fleet of vehicles is already delivering from the warehouse direct to customers and to two secondary bases in Northampton and Hereford; and the lorries, which feature huge photos of installations in Rehau Total70 and Rehau Heritage, are proving great mobile advertisements for the Rehau brand.
Speaking at the official opening, Martin Hitchin, Chief Executive of Rehau in the UK, said: “This is a very impressive new facility for Rehau in the UK in the perfect location to maximise efficiency. We’re delighted with how it’s performing so far and we’re confident it will continue to do so as demand goes on increasing.”
