Renolit creates harmony with green

Green has been emerging as a trend in interior design for several years and can now be seen transitioning into a popular colour choice for use on external installations. The colour green is symbolic of the environment and creates a biophilic design as people seek to connect with nature which helps to improve health and wellbeing. To suit both modern and heritage buildings, RENOLIT offers a range of different shades of greens and green toned greys highlighting the versatility of this growing trend colour. Three examples that traverse the spectrum are featured below.

The strongest of these is Chartwell Green. A classic heritage colour created as an exterior foil by RENOLIT to reimagine the colour used for outdoor furniture at Chartwell House, the former country home of Sir Winston Churchill it encapsulates the British countryside. Chartwell Green is a light, bright pastel green that uses a traditional woodgrain emboss to emulate the effect of painted wooden frames. Although the colour is mostly associated with installations on cottages and heritage style homes, it is steadily gaining credibility on new builds where it complements pale rendered constructions.

Moving into the mid-tones, Sage is a subtle olive grey colour completed with the increasingly popular Ulti-Matt texture. Smooth to touch and with earthy grey green undertones Sage is suited to a wide range of installations that encompass the essence of the countryside.

Where a lighter colour is desired, one of the fastest growing colours Agate Grey, is a cross over colour between grey and green offers a gentler shade for installations. It provides a functional, all-purpose option within the grey spectrum which continues to be the most popular colour for windows. Agate Grey is a subtle blend of light green and grey that uses an established woodtick texture. As a lighter shade of grey with undertones of green, Agate Grey is a neutral adaptable shade suited to both rural and urban installations.

As people continue to embrace a more sustainable existence, green affords a visual harmony connecting buildings and its occupants more closely to nature.
