According to company CEO Andrew Huddlestone, the opening of the new showroom is an important step in its growth strategy. “We are delighted with what we have achieved so far. In the past eight months, we have launched four pioneering new products and significantly increased our turnover and staffing levels. Our new showroom is the first in a series of planned investments at our Thurmaston production facility. In the coming months, we will be working to further streamline and increase our manufacturing capacity with a view to introducing more new products and developing our export markets.”
Renowned for its innovation, Roof Maker manufactures slim triple glazed skylights and roof windows and claims to have the first UK rooflight to incorporate ‘Sun-Tint’ thermochromic glass, which automatically self-tints in response to the glare from direct sunlight.
Pioneering ‘Heat Mirror’ technology is another claimed first for Roof Maker, which enables the production of insulated triple glazed units weighing up to 33% less than conventional triple glazing, increasing the potential for larger architectural glazed areas.
In addition, the company has launched ThermFold, a new super insulated aluminium folding sliding door system designed to perfectly match its high specification range of skylights and roof windows, with frameless options for an extra sleek minimalistic look.
Sales Director, Chris Anthony said: “We have always sought to deliver stylish contemporary products that are at the leading edge of British design. This together with our one-stop-shop manufacturing and installation service has given us a definite competitive advantage. The opening of a new state-of-the-art showroom to showcase our entire range will hopefully encourage customers to come and see for themselves the design quality of our products when making those all-important home-style decisions.”
Councillor John Capleton, Mayor of Charnwood said: “I am delighted to see the success of this dynamic and forward thinking company, whose commitment to sales growth through quality and innovation is also contributing to the local economy.”
Mr Edward Argar, MP for Charnwood, said: “With its record breaking success last year, Roof Maker Ltd is a great example of why the East Midlands is leading the way in delivering growth and new jobs for our country. With the opening of their new showroom in Thurmaston, I have no doubt that they will continue to go from strength to strength.”
